HOL Guard

HOL Guard is a local-first security layer for AI coding agents and MCP tools. Before an agent runs a risky action — a destructive shell command, reading secrets, installing packages or moving data — Guard applies your policy to allow it, block it or ask for approval, and logs every decision. It plugs into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode and other agent tools, and the core runtime is open source (Apache-2.0). Revenue comes from the optional Guard Cloud subscriptions (Solo, Pro, Team) that sync decision history and share policies across a team. The in-house affiliate program pays 25% recurring revenue share on net subscription revenue for the first 12 months of each referred customer, with a 120-day cookie — a fit for developer blogs, AI tooling newsletters and DevSecOps content.
