What is PPI (pay per install)?
The conversion is the install itself, not a purchase. On mobile it is usually counted when the app is opened for the first time after download; for desktop software, when the installer finishes.
You will see the same model listed as CPI (cost per install), which is how it appears in our catalog. Advertisers pay per install because a user who installs is far more likely to subscribe or buy later.
Payouts depend heavily on the country, the platform (iOS usually pays more than Android) and the type of app. Many PPI offers forbid incentivized installs and bots, and reject installs that are uninstalled too quickly. Read the program terms before buying traffic.
