What is ePassporte?

In the 2000s ePassporte was one of the main ways adult affiliate programs paid webmasters internationally. Accounts were funded by program payouts and the money could be spent with a linked Visa card.

In September 2010 Visa suspended the service, and ePassporte shut down. Affiliates and models could no longer withdraw their balances, and many lost money they had already earned. The case pushed the adult industry towards other options, especially Paxum.

The lesson for affiliates: do not keep large balances in a single wallet. Withdraw regularly and, where the program allows it, use more than one payout method.
