What is Video slider?
Unlike in-stream ads loaded through VAST, a slider does not need a video player on the page, so it works on blogs, forums, galleries and any other site. The ad usually starts muted, stays in the corner while the visitor scrolls and shows a close button.
For publishers it is an easy way to add video ad revenue with one script, usually paid on CPM. It is less intrusive than a popunder because it does not cover the content, but on small mobile screens it should be limited in size and frequency.
Advertisers use sliders for apps, games, dating and other offers that are easy to show in a few seconds of video.
